Delegate: - available : As a PTA Delegate you will represent your school’s PTA on the County level at the MCCPTA (Montgomery County Council of Parent Teacher Associations).  You will share information from the MCCPTA to the Daly PTA and represent Daly’s PTA concerns to the MCCPTA.  Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:30pm at the Carver Educational Services Center in Rockville.



Fundraising co-chair available
The chairperson of the Fundraising Committee is responsible for researching, planning and organizing the PTA’s major fundraisers of the year to help reach our fundraising goals. This includes partnering with outside companies, working with administration/staff, communicating with students/parents, and coordinating volunteers for the event.

Staff Appreciation co-chair available
Our Staff Appreciation Chairperson plans and coordinates staff appreciation events such as a back-to-school luncheon, quarterly breakfasts/luncheons, teacher appreciation week activities, etc.

Cultural Arts co-chair available
The Cultural Arts chairperson coordinates at least biannual cultural arts programs such as guest speakers, after school workshops, a family art night, etc.



President
The President works with the school principal to determine how the PTA can support the administration’s plans, helps the PTA Board set and achieve the overall goals of the PTA, creates agendas and facilitates all PTA Board and General Assembly meetings, sits on the budget committee to prepare the annual budget, maintains the PTA’s master calendar, speaks at PTA and other school functions, and supports program chair people as needed.
Vice President  
The Vice President is responsible for assisting the President when called upon and assuming the duties of the President in case of absence. He/She is also responsible for assisting the Membership chair with enrolling as many parents, staff and community members as possible. He/She is also responsible for assisting the PTA program chair people as needed and researching & implementing new programs to serve our students/parents/staff.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for ensuring that the PTA’s funds are handled properly. He/She receives, deposits and disburses funds, maintains financial records, submits written financial reports at all PTA board and general assembly meetings, pays National and Maryland PTA dues monthly, ensures proper filing of state and federal taxes and sits on the budget committee, which creates the budget for the fiscal year.
Secretary
The Secretary records and retains minutes of all PTA Board and General Assembly meetings and acts as the custodian of PTA records such as agendas, minutes, reports, bylaws, etc.

STANDING COMMITTEES
Membership
The Membership chairperson sets membership goals, organizes a PTA membership table at various events (Kindergarten Orientation, school registration, Open House, and other PTA events), attends the back-to-school teacher/staff meeting to recruit members, plans & implements membership promotions, distributes membership cards, keeps an accurate list of members and makes a report at the PTA Board and General Assembly meetings.

Boxtops & Labels for Education
The Boxtops & Labels for Education chairperson organizes various contests throughout the year to encourage students/parents to clip Boxtops and Labels for Education and turn them in. This project includes communicating the contests through flyers, purchasing / coordinating prizes, counting and submitting boxtops and announcing winners.
PR/Communications
The PR/Communications chairperson is responsible for updating the PTA website, writing and submitting articles for email distribution or school newsletters, submitting articles to communicate important PTA and school information to our students, families and community members, and maintaining the PTA bulletin board/marquee outside the school and the bulletin board immediately inside the school’s front doors. 
Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator assists with finding volunteers for various PTA committees/events, lunchroom and recess duty, and occasional school administration projects via email and phone calls. Coordinator is also responsible for assisting and training new volunteers.
